Leaving Poppy 974 m.

Author: Kate Cann
It's about a girl namned Amber, who is going on a vacation, she tells her mum. But she's not going for a vacation, she's living with Kaz, Rory, Crissie and Ben on 17 Merral Road in a really big house. She gets along with them very well and after a while, she also gets a job in a café called The Albatross.
At The Albatross, she meets up with this guy called Marty, who works there. He will also help her later in the book.
Amber's half-sister, Poppy, moves in with them in the house, after a while
even though Amber was reluctant. Amber dislike it very much but have to stay patiently to take care of her half-sister.
Someting isn't right about Poppy and there are some creepy stuff going on in the house.
And Amber isn't the only one to notice...

I thought the book was good, not so scary as I was told but yet a little creepy. Very good imagery and I thought there were some difficult words, but if you just read the whole
sentence, you'd get the meaning of if.
As I said, a little creepy but good.

  4. I think it's a ghost of an English teacher that has marked the text. When the marking starts you changed tense (tempus) and later when you are back to present tense (presens) you forget +s on a verb and choose the wrong form of the verb have.

I have also read this book and I think it's quite good. There is also a little love in the story even if the main plot is about the scary things in the attic.
